This website deals with Accucadd, RoboCAD, RoboSOLID, RoboMILL, Sketchpad, and other Robo Systems products. These products are useful in CAD, CAM, drafting, technical drawing, technical illustrating, and many other applications. The acclaimed ease of use of these products makes them especially valuable both in education - where time is short - and in industry - where productivity should be high. Non-Windows Robo Systems products can run acceptably on minimal computers, such as 1MB 386 MS-DOS 5 based hardware, and all our products will run under Windows 98, Windows NT4, or later. Accucadd requires Windows 98 or later, or Windows NT4 or later - Windows ME and Windows 2000 are both suitable. We don't recommend Windows 95 for any of our products.
Teachers of CAD, CAM, drafting, technical drawing, and technical illustrating have consistently found that students are productive within the first hour of using Accucadd, RoboCAD, RoboSOLID, RoboMILL, and Sketchpad. Industrial users have found these products particularly valuable in situations where they are not used all day, every day - situations in which the complications of using competing products mean continual re-learning. Not so with our products - pick-up and use, after a day, a week, or a month!
If you currently use AutoCAD 9 or any later version of AutoCAD, or if you use CADKEY, or indeed, any other CAD program, you might also like to try Accucadd or RoboCAD. We have many customers who use AutoCAD for special purpose drawings, often with a specially developed AutoCAD add-in program, but prefer to use Accucadd or RoboCAD for their routine and everyday drawing tasks because they find it much easier to use. You should also consider both Accucadd and RoboCAD if you need a general purpose introductory or training CAD system. Many people who started out with Accucadd or RoboCAD as a training vehicle liked it so much that they stayed with it.
